Not all scissors are built the same. Some may have convex blades, some curved and all different shapes and sizes. The SC-60 Scissors Jig’s smart, adjustable design allows you to follow the unique shape of each blade, ensuring a consistent edge along the entire bevel. With the reduced friction and vibration, you will be able to glide the blade smoothly across the grinding wheel safely and accurately (even if the blade might sing a somewhat unpleasent song of joy from being sharpened again).

When used on the Tormek T-2 Pro Kitchen Knife Sharpener, you can sharpen scissors with a blade length up to 120 mm / 4.7" (measured from the pivot point to the tip). Longer scissors can be sharpened only if they are disassembled, allowing each blade to be sharpened separately.

Please note: while the SC-60 Scissors Jig handles standard shapes with ease, it may have limitations when it comes to scissors with unconventional edges such as wavy shears or pinking scissors. You can experiment with different models with the machine turned off, and carefully see if your specific, unconvetional scissors or shears will be sharpenable. We do not recommend using the SC-60 Scissors Jig to sharpen hairdressing scissors due to their specific demands.
